If you had to name Brazil’s biggest K-drama hotspots, where would you guess? São Paulo? Rio de Janeiro?
Netflix picked somewhere less obvious: Belém, São Luís and Maceió. From September 10 to 20, the three cities are hosting free K-drama fan spaces called Estação Dramalândia.
Why these three cities?
Netflix did not simply choose the places that watched the most hours of K-dramas. Its internal data looked at K-drama viewing in proportion to the size of each state’s audience, and Alagoas, Maranhão and Pará stood out.
So this is not a “first, second and third in total K-drama viewing” ranking. Netflix did not reveal an order among the three states either. The interesting part is that the campaign is spotlighting how strongly K-dramas over-index within these local audiences, rather than just following Brazil’s biggest cities.

If you want to visit
All three stations run September 10–20, every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is free and there are no advance tickets: visitors join the on-site queue. The queue can close before 6 p.m. once the day’s capacity is reached. The official FAQ recommends the experience for ages 14+, while children under 14 may enter with a guardian. Expect Korean-style photo booths, drama-inspired photo sets and limited giveaways.
There is a trip to Korea on the line, too
You do not need to live near one of the stations to take part. Netflix is also running a nationwide video challenge in Brazil.
The idea is simple: turn an ordinary moment from your day into a 15-second-to-one-minute K-drama-style video. Entries can be posted from a public TikTok, Instagram or Kwai account.
Deadline — September 18, 11:59 p.m.
Video — 15 seconds to 1 minute
Required — one official campaign track
Hashtags — #dramalandianetflix + #promocoreia
Caption — include your account username
Account + post — keep public through September 28
Eligibility — age 18+ and resident/domiciled in Brazil
Generative AI is prohibited.
Unauthorized third-party material — including drama, film or anime clips and someone else’s music, photos or illustrations — is also prohibited. Everyone appearing in the video must be 18 or older and must have consented to the use of their image.
In other words, you can recreate the feeling of a K-drama in your own way. You cannot simply paste in a scene from your favorite show.
Three winners really do go to Korea
Up to six eligible finalists will move to a public vote from September 23 to 26. Voting requires a CPF, and the three eligible finalists with the most votes win.
The prize is a trip to South Korea, with the option to bring one companion. The planned travel dates are October 19–26. Winners aged 19 or older may choose to travel alone. The package includes economy flights, organizer-specified transfers, travel insurance, one 23 kg checked bag per traveler, six nights in a five-star hotel and three meals a day. Personal and other unspecified expenses are not included.
There are a few easy-to-miss travel conditions. The winner’s passport must remain valid for at least six months after the scheduled return date. A companion must be at least 19 years old; if the winner is still under 19 at the time of travel, they must travel with a parent or legal guardian who is at least 19. If a visa or other entry authorization is required for Korea, the promoter covers the issuance fees but does not guarantee approval.
