What does it mean?
우리 literally means “we/our,” but Korean often uses it where English would naturally say “my”: 우리 집, 우리 엄마, 우리 회사.
How it sounds
A: 우리 엄마가 김치 보내줬어. B: 진짜? 맛있겠다.
When do Koreans use it?
It is especially common for family, home, school, company, country, or a group the speaker feels part of.
A small nuance
It does not always mean several people jointly own something. Often it expresses belonging or shared identity.
